iLOKI – informative location information
iLOKI is intended for citizens who are interested to get quick but unofficial location information for a land parcel they are buying or intending to build on. Citizens immediately – in real time – receive an informative answer. If they are still interested, they can immediately submit an application to obtain an official document.
With iLOKI real time information the work of municipal employees who were issuing official documents was lowered for about 80% (only 20% of all given location information ended with application for official document).
In the back end of the iLOKI application there is a web service that prepares the necessary contents for a sought plot from the municipal spatial database. The same program is also used by the back-office application LOKI. This is a purpose built application for the back-end municipal document system VOPI that generates a correct official document “location information” from the spatial data and data received from the citizen written application. If necessary, the office clerk may additionally edit the document before printing it out.
The land (plot) location, which is the condition for the “information” preparation, can be entered by the citizen through the iLOKI input form. If the municipality has also a public GIS land data viewer of municipal spatial data such us 3MAP, the citizen can get the information simply by clicking on the desired piece of land graphically shown on the map.
